Children and teenagers affected by HIV/AIDS face many impediments and competing challenges regarding family, health, education, protection and economic stability. As a result of this, very many children end up completing Primary education, but fail to transition to High School  and beyond. Tissue Culture Banana demonstration farm

The Director Hon. Dr. Obara paid a visit to the Tissue Culture Banana demonstration farm at opanga village. Caregivers, Orphans and Vulnerable Children were present to express the impact of the farm on their nutritional and financial well being.The farm was established in September, 2018. Station days under MWENDO program

NEWI hosted a station day at Kisegi primary school on 18th January 2020 and subsequently at Dr. Mark Matunga Secondary School, Kiwa Island on 19th February 2020. The station day was meant to bring services closer to the orphans and vulnerable children enrolled in the USAID MWENDO program.
